I hope you’re all doing well!
So, some of you might remember that in December, I wrote a post about My Travel Plans for 2019 and I guess it’s safe to say that… things may have changed. Ever so slightly. And by that I mean, things have changed a fair bit!
I’m still going on a holiday with my friends in May, which I’m really excited about and I’ve started planning some of the things we’re hoping to do and see on each of the days.
However, the main big things which I didn’t mention in that last post was that I was hoping to go back to America this summer, because at that point nothing had been confirmed. And now… it looks like I’m going back to Maine! There are still quite a few things I need to sort out in the next few months, but I’m so happy to be spending another summer in the USA!
I did have a few rough days last year at camp, but I think it was mainly because it was my first time ever doing something like that, and I think this year will be better because I’ll know the camp, I’ll know how things are run, and I’ll know most of the campers and staff members, so I think in general I’ll feel a little bit more at ease!
And then the big change. I said in my last post that I was hoping to move to France by the end of the year.
I’m not going to France. BUT (and this is a big but) I’ve got a teaching job in Thailand which is contracted work for five months, so by the end of October 2019, I will have packed my bags once again and moved to the other side of the world! I’ve never been anywhere in Asia, so this will definitely be an interesting experience! I’m really excited, but also a little nervous (obviously) as it’ll be the most different thing I’ve ever done, and it’ll be the longest I’ve been away from home in a different country. But I know that I’d regret not doing it, and I’ll definitely learn a lot about during this experience!
So… yeah! I’ll be in America until August, and a few short months after I come back to England I’ll be jetting off again to Thailand!
Let’s just hope nothing drastic changes in the next few months!
