I have been tagged by The Orangutan Librarian to do the Avenger’s Book tag, and this was a nice surprise for me to come home to because it’s been forever since I last did a tag, let alone actually be tagged by someone else, so without any further ado, let’s get started!
Iron Man – a book that made you laugh out loud:
The weird thing is that I don’t really read a lot of comedy books, but I love books with good humour in them, which is what makes this question quite hard, but I think I’m going to go with The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion.
Captain America – a book that sends a positive message:
I’m actually going to go for a book which I haven’t read all of, but from what I’ve read I’ve enjoyed, and that is Doing It by Hannah Witton. She’s all about talking openly about sex, relationships, and generally talks very positively about something which has been considered a bit of a taboo subject.
Thor – a book with a character’s strength you admire:
This is a hard one, because there are so many powerful characters who I love and adore, and I feel like I should give an honourable mention to all of the characters who are so strong and amazing, but we’d be here all day, so I’m going to go with a fairly obvious choice with Hermione Granger from Harry Potter.
Black Widow – a book with a kick-ass female protagonist:
I think I’m going to have to choose two for this one, and those are Paige Mahoney in The Bone Season series, and Celaena Sardothien from Throne Of Glass. They’re both so great, funny, and honest. I just love them both so much, and I can’t choose just one!
Hulk – a book that made you incredibly angry:
I’m going to go a bit off the question itself, and choose a book that made me angry because of a certain character, which was The Woman in White. For those who’ve read it, you’ll know how terrible Sir Percival is, and even thinking about him just makes me angry… ironically, it’s one of my favourite books!
Hawkeye – an underrated book you think more people should pay attention to:
